The event was attended by over 40 representatives of political, scientific, expert and media circles, as well as employees of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan. Thus, the participants of the “round table” were: Senior Advisers to the President of Afghanistan A.Ayobi, Z.Amarkhil and N.Misdaq, Vice-Minister of Higher Education A.S.Mahjoor, Head of the Provincial Council of Kabul Province A.Hashimi, Vice-Chairman of the High Peace Council S.Naim, Director of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs M.Spinghar, Member of the Parliament K.Safi and others.
During the process of the “round table”, Ambassador A.Yessengeldiyev informed participants that the decision to hold the presidential election was verified and far-sighted step, fully supported by citizens. Kazakhstan will maintain continuity in foreign policy, including in the Afghan direction and will continue to assist in the restoration and further development of Afghanistan. In addition, he explained the main provisions and procedures for organizing the electoral process and briefly introduced election programs of candidates for the presidency of Kazakhstan.
The topic of the presidential election in our country sparked the “lively” interest of the event's participants, who actively took a share in the discussion, asked questions and expressed their values and opinions.
After the round table Iftar dinner was organized for participants.
