227 foreign correspondents from 40 countries accredited

Three days are left before the presidential election scheduled for June 9. On the eve of the accreditation of representatives of foreign media finished, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reports.

Throughout the entire electoral period, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the CEC, conducted work on registering observers from foreign countries, international organizations, as well as journalists to cover the election process.

In general, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan accredited 227 foreign correspondents from more than 40 countries of the world (for reference: in 2015, 168 representatives of foreign media were registered for the presidential election). At the same time, 121 foreign correspondents of foreign media are accredited at the Ministry on an ongoing basis. This indicates the high interest of the world community in our country and the ongoing changes in the political and social life of the state.
