In Riga presented the book of Elbasy "The Era of Independence" in Latvian language

On the 5th of July, 2019 in the Library of the University of Latvia in Riga (Latvia) organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Lithuania and Latvia took place the presentation of the book “The Era of Independence” by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, published in Latvian. The event was attended by representatives of the Saeima and the Government of Latvia, the creative intelligentsia and representatives of the business community, teachers of the University of Latvia and other higher education institutions.

A brief analysis of the book and its content, within the presentation, was made by the head of the Latvian Union of Journalists Juris Paiders.

Juris Paiders in his speech mentioned, that written in the genre of historical journalism, the book reflects the author's view on the modern history of Kazakhstan and its future, describes the stages of building a sovereign state since its foundation, substantiates the internal logic and decision-making mechanism in response to internal and external challenges.

As the participants of the presentation pointed out the publication of the book of the First President of Kazakhstan in Latvian language indicates that relations between two countries are consistently developing and reaching a new, more trustworthy level of communication.

The book will be donated to libraries, research centres and Latvian universities. In addition, scientific seminars dedicated to the book “Era of Independence” will be held at the universities of Daugavpils and Ventspils.
