International conference dedicated to Saken Seifullin's anniversary held in Karagandy

The international scientific and practical conference "Saken Seifullin: ulttyk Rukh Zhane urpaktar sabaktastygy" (Saken Seifullin: national spirit and continuity of generations) dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the poet, writer, statesman and public figure Saken Seifullin was held in E. Buketov Karaganda state University.

The conference was attended by akim of Karaganda region Zhenis Kasymbek, public and statesman Oralbay Abdykarimov, poet, Chairman of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan Ulykbek Esdaulet, Secretary General of the International organization for the development of Turkic culture and art TURKSOY Duisen Kaseinov, academician of the National Academy of Sciences Hangeldy Abzhanov, Professor of the Kazakh national University named after al-Farabi Kulyash Akhmet, famous linguists, literary critics, historians, heads of international organizations, University professors, undergraduates and students.

During the conference there was a presentation of the album "Ush Arys" and the book "Saken Seifullin-Memlekettik Tulga". The first of these editions is dedicated to Saken Seifullin, Ilyas Zhansugurov and Beimbet Maylin. The book was printed in Kazakh and Russian languages by order of the International organization for the development of Turkic culture and art TURKSOY.

Participants of the sessions discussed topics such as "the Historical image of Saken Seifullin as a statesman and public figure", "Actual problems of linguistics in the era of globalization" and "History of the development of Kazakh literature: yesterday and today".

The conference included exhibitions of Museum exhibits and books, archival materials, as well as personal belongings of Saken Seifullin.
