It is reported by press service of the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the scale of the ongoing construction in Turkestan during the press briefing.

- Last year, having signed the decree on transfer of the regional center, we started large-scale construction. Today I learnt about ambitious objects. Many new facilities are being built, and jobs are being created for the young. Hospitals, schools, hotels and an international airport will be built. Also issues with water resources will be resolved, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In addition, the First President of Kazakhstan spoke about the plans of the akimat for the implementation of infrastructure projects.

- A lot of work has been done during the year. Next year we plan to invite the heads of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan to the summit. If they confirm participation, then, maybe, we will host it in Turkestan. All Kazakhstan supports the development of the city. Every house, every city is the wealth of Kazakhstan. When we built the capital, there were questions about funding. And now the city of Nur-Sultan, having reimbursed all costs, annually brings trillions of income to the budget, - Elbasy told.

At the same time, Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the importance of developing tourism in Turkestan and the entire region.

"We need to attract more tourists here. The whole Turkic world considers Turkestan as the center. Tourism is an important part of the economy. There are already many museums. Now we are working on the creation of the archaeological park "Kultobe Settlement", - concluded the First President of Kazakhstan.
