N. Nigmatulin visited Abai Center at Hanoi University

Chairman of the Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin during his official visit to Vietnam visited the Abai Center at Hanoi University and also met with the faculty and students of the University, press service oh the Majilis reports.

Nurlan Nigmatulin, noting the importance of the Center for cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, told about the events planned in Kazakhstan for the anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev, and presented a series of books.

The topic of deepening comprehensive cooperation between Kazakhstan and Vietnam became the main one at the meeting at Hanoi University. This is one of the oldest universities in the country, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Teachers and students gathered for a meeting with the speaker of the Majilis.

Nurlan Nigmatulin made an excursion into history, telling about the formation and achievements of Independent Kazakhstan, and also noted the pace of development of Vietnam, whose economic growth today shows 7%. In an interview with students, speaking about the importance of quality education, the speaker of the Majilis stressed that in the era of the "knowledge economy" its relevance increases significantly.

Nurlan Nigmatulin also shared his opinion on the possibilities of Kazakh-Vietnamese cooperation, noting the great potential, first of all, in the transport and logistics sector, industrial cooperation, food industries, agriculture, as well as tourism.

Nurlan Nigmatulin expressed hope for the prospects of productive cooperation in the educational sphere, the establishment of close contacts between business structures. In turn, the students asked The Chairman of the Majilis "advantages" for Kazakhstan and Vietnam from the signed free trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EAEU, the features of the parliaments of the two countries. Representatives of the younger generation were interested in the opinion of Nurlan Nigmatulin regarding professions that will be in demand in the future, as well as the role of social networks in the work of deputies.
