Senior adviser to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Zhanar Kolbachaeva read a congratulatory letter from Imangali Tasmagambetov.

The Ambassador noted that the newspaper has always defended the interests and needs of society. The achievement of the cherished dream of the people about freedom was proclaimed as its goal by the newspaper "Ushkyn", the first issue of which was published in Orenburg at the beginning of the last century, in December 1919. Since then in different years in this newspaper worked such outstanding representatives of the nation as Berniyaz Kuleyev, Smagul Sadvakasov, Zhusipbek Aimauytov, Mukhtar Auezov, Beyimbet Maylin, Saken Seifullin, Turar Ryskulov, oraz Zhandosov, Gabit Musrepov, Sherkhan Murtaza. They made a huge contribution to development of the edition, formation of its image. Despite the fact that under the onslaught of time-induced changes, the name of the newspaper changed. After "Ushkyn" it became "Enbek Tuy", "Enbekshil Kazak"," Enbekshi Kazak", then "Sotsialdy Kazakstan", "Socialistik Kazakstan".

Konstantin Morgunov, an expert of the non-profit autonomous organization "Commonwealth of peoples of Russia", a senior researcher of the research Institute of history and Ethnography of the southern Urals of Orenburg state University, made an interesting and informative report, in which special attention was paid to Kazakhs who studied at the Orenburg rabfak.

Secretary of the West Kazakhstan regional Maslikhat Malik Kulshar in his speech noted the importance of this round table as one of the events that contribute to the strengthening of friendship between the two countries.

Poet Nesipbek Aituly read his poem dedicated to the anniversary of the newspaper.

"After the revolution, the newspaper "Egemen Qazaqstan" is included in the international catalog of periodicals, now readers in Russia, including in Orenburg, can subscribe to it. As a result of search works in recent years, a historical building was identified, where the editorial office of "Ushkyn" was located. With the direct support of our Ambassador to Russia, Imangali Nurgalievich, an agreement was reached to install a commemorative plaque on this building. The initiative was supported by the administration of the city of Orenburg. We also express our gratitude to the leadership of the West Kazakhstan region, who specially sent a delegation here," D. Kydyrali said.
