Minister of education and science of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov told about the planned measures against plagiarism in the ministry.

"The Ministry has made a decision to introduce the Turnitin anti-plagiarism system. We are now applying this system. We have introduced the relevant amendments to the regulatory documents, and from now on all coursework, all theses, master's and research papers will be tested for anti-plagiarism through this system. There will be no opportunity to re-defend the themes and works that were once already protected or considered," Askhat Aimagambetov said.

He mentioned a high-profile case of plagiarism, which was recorded in the Ministry, referring to ex-Minister Fatima Zhakypova.

In addition, according to the head of the Department, the fight against plagiarism should be conducted from schools.

"As a Minister, I believe that in the XXI century, if we consider modern trends, we should harmonize all preschool education, school education, all colleges and universities. We should have one vertical from preschool education to higher education. There are questions, there are directions that are repeated in this vertical, they should not be repeated. We must analyze and harmonize all standards, from preschool education to higher education, and eliminate all repetitions, all contradictions. I believe that the Ministry of education and science will do all the work, will carry out its activities for the benefit of providing quality education," A. Aimagambetov concluded.

To recall, accused of plagiarism ex-Vice Minister of education and science of Kazakhstan Fatima zhakypova was dismissed from her post.
