N. Nigmatulin holds a meeting of the Majilis Bureau

Today under the chairmanship of the speaker of the Chamber Nurlan Nigmatulin, the Bureau of the Majilis was held, where the draft agenda of the upcoming plenary session of deputies was formed, press service of the Majilis reports.

In the first reading, the deputies will discuss draft legislative amendments on combating the legalization of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism, as well as on the regulation of migration processes.

In the second reading, the Chamber is invited to consider legislative innovations on gas and gas supply. The bill promotes use of natural gas, implementation of new projects in the electricity sector related to the construction of maneuverable capacities in energy-deficient regions, as well as approval of the gas prices for investment projects that use gas for production of petrochemical products.

The agenda of the plenary session includes a bill on ratification of the Multilateral Convention on the implementation of measures related to tax agreements in order to counteract the erosion of the tax base and the withdrawal of profits from taxation. The chamber will have to set a deadline for the preparation of conclusions on new bills submitted to the Majilis.

These are draft legislative amendments on the activities of public councils, as well as on the use of nuclear energy. Among the new bills is a package of ratification acts. These are Kazakhstan's agreements with the UAE and Brazil on the transfer of convicted persons, with Ukraine-on legal assistance in criminal cases. This includes the agreement between Kazakhstan and the United States on consular privileges and immunities, as well as The framework partnership agreement (amendments to the Framework partnership agreement between Kazakhstan and the Asian Development Bank to strengthen cooperation for economic diversification, sustainable development and comprehensive growth of our country).
