The film "Amre" was shown in the capital of Finland

The show was held in celebration of the independence Day of Kazakhstan the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Finland with the support of Kazakhfilm. 

A welcome video address to the Finnish public was made by a talented Kazakh actor Sanjar Madi, who played the role of Amre. 

The film "Amre" ("Paris song") was directed by Jeff Vespa. The role of Mustafa Shokay was played by actor Erkebulan Daiyrov. The female lead was played by Australian actress Abby Cornish.

Amre Kashaubayev is a Kazakh singer, actor, musician, one of the founders of the Kazakh national theater art. He became the first Soviet singer who introduced Europe to the song art of the Kazakh people. In 1925, at the ethnographic concert at the world exhibition of decorative art in Paris he was awarded the second prize and a silver medal  where he performed Kazakh folk songs "Balkadisha", "Agash ayak" ("Wooden leg"), "Kanapiya", "Zhalgyz Arsha" ("Lonely juniper"), "Ush Dos" ("Three friends") and others .

The film "Amre" won a number of prestigious awards at international film festivals: awards "Silver Screen Prize" and "Global Grand Jury Prize" at the Hollywood Film Festival in Los Angeles, the "Best production artist" awards at the Manchester International Film Festival in the UK and the REMI Platinum award at the WorldFest Houston festival in the US. The most recent achievements of the film include the prizes for "Best narrative film" and "Best actor" for the lead actor Sanjar Madi at the Richmond International Film & Music Festival.
