300 young Kazakhstanis enrolled in the Presidential youth personnel reserve

At Central communications Service First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Agency for civil service affairs Anar Zhailganova and rector of the Academy of Public administration under the President of Kazakhstan Yerlan Abil announced the results of selection to the Presidential youth personnel reserve.


At the inauguration ceremony of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that the task of the project Presidential youth personnel reserve is to provide opportunities for young people of Kazakhstan to realize their biggest dreams and create a personal "success story".

A total of 330 people from more than 13,000 applicants were selected for the final. Following the meeting of the National Commission, 300 candidates were enrolled in the Presidential youth personnel reserve.

The selection took into account such indicators as the degree of readiness of applicants to advance to high positions in the public service, in the national companies and holdings, and the positions in local executive bodies, up to the district level, recommendations of experts in the field of human resources, the evaluation of personal competences of participants.

The list of reservists included 102 representatives from the private sector, 98 from the quasi-public sector and 96 from civil servants. 57% of candidates studied abroad, 43% are graduates of Kazak universities.

The median age is 31 years. At the same time, reservists have considerable experience in various sectors of the economy. Many of them work or have worked for large foreign and multinational companies.

The use of digital technologies ensured the openness and mobility of the selection process, which allowed young Kazakhstanis to participate regardless of their location.

Currently, the 300 selected reservists are ranked by industry. It is expected that some of them may soon be appointed to public positions.

During the first quarter of 2020, the Agency will draw up an individual competency development plan for each reservist. The appointment of reservists to responsible positions in the civil service and quasi-public sector is planned through consistent career development. The Agency will monitor the further career advancement of reservists.
