"Passenger transportation" purchases 118 new railcars

"Passenger transportation" JSC will purchase 118 new cars. This was announced by Deputy General Director of the company Asylkhan Kaldykozov.

"The rolling stock has 2,200 railcars, of which 85 will be repaired. In addition, we are going to buy new 118 railcars. These are modern cars that we will purchase in addition," Asylkhan Kaldykozov said.

He also mentioned the issue of the need for railcars for today.

"Every year, we have more than 100 cars that are decreasing. We need to buy new ones to compensate those and we also regularly upgrade old ones," Asylkhan Kaldykozov explained.

Earlier, he said that the repair of one railcar costs more than 100 million tenge, and the purchase of new cars is more than 400 million tenge per railcar.
