560 families moved from south to north of the country

560 families moved from Turkestan region to the northern regions of the country by program "Enbek" in 2019, press service of regional akim reports.

It was planned that 427 families would move at the beginning, but there were more people willing to move.

Last year, the regional akimat for this purpose organized a trip of the delegation, which included representatives of the media to the North Kazakhstan region, Kostanay and Akmola regions.

Turkestan regional branch of the Nur Otan party also held meetings with the population in cities and districts, where the conditions for participation in the program were explained.

The goal of the "Enbek" program is to relocate residents of densely populated southern regions to northern regions that are experiencing a shortage of labor.

Since 2015, 1,365 families or 4,935 people have moved from the Turkestan region to the Northern regions.

In 2019, 62 families (221 people) moved from Turkestan region to Kostanay region, and 115 families (230 people) moved to East Kazakhstan. 288 families (832 people) decided to start a new life in Northern Kazakhstan, 95 families (474 people) in the Pavlodar region.
