The main test of this winter for the capital is a large amount of snow, snowstorms and blizzards, which led to the Declaration of an emergency situation in the city.

According to weather forecasts, another wave of snow is expected in the month of February. Municipal services for cleaning snow in the city are working in an enhanced mode.

According to the first Deputy General Director of "Astana Tazalyk" LLP Medeu Razhanov, 55% more snow fell compared to last year.

"To date, 2 million 530 thousand cubic meters of snow have been removed from the city. In the capital, snow removal is carried out at 4 landfills. Two of them are already full and preserved in the "Yesil" district. Now there is one in each district. The amount of snow that fell exceeded the norm, this can be understood from snow dumps. In addition to "Astana Tazalyk" LLP, more than 100 contractors work in the city, which signed a contract with the mayor's office. The analysis revealed that 55% more snow fell than last year. That is, we had more snow where-that of 800 thousand cubic meters", said M. Rozanov.
