Young entrepreneur from Shymkent makes colourful kurt, kazakh national snack

Nazerke Asker from a small village in south of Kazakhstan started her successful business by making colourful Kurt. Kurt is a Kazakh national snack made from dairy. There are 10 different colours without adding any chemicals.

She as a young entrepreneur has undertaken business courses from "Bastau-business" project, the state program for those who want to launch own business.

After the course, she prepared a business plan and was ready to start. Nazerke also received a grant for 3 million tenge from Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Damu" after she proved that her business idea is worthy. Her business started with purchasing machines and coolers for processing kurt of a round shape.

Currently, she makes 10 different types of snack: salty, bitter, from dried fruits and others. Her version of national snacks are also good for health. As the snacks made from beetroot improves blood flow, raisins can aid digestion, boost iron levels, and keep your bones strong, one of the ingredients mint is good for people with high blood pressure, basil fortifies the digestive and nervous system and can be a good remedy for headaches and insomnia.

She sets an example for other young people at her age to be brave and do what you like. Nazerke made her grandmother's legacy that she was taught from a young age successful business idea with a little modern approach.
