Extraordinary meeting of Turkic Council members' foreign ministers takes place in Baku

Kazakh foreign minister attended the meeting, Ministry of Foreign affairs says. 

Opening the event, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov noted the wide agenda of the event, Trend news agency says.

A number of various issues, including cooperation with countries that are not members of the organization will be discussed during the event.

A press conference will be held following the meeting.

The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) was established in 2009 as an intergovernmental organization, with the overarching aim of promoting comprehensive cooperation among Turkic Speaking States. Its four founding member states are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
