State labour inspectors protect rights of over 1,1 thousand employees

In January 2020, state labour inspectors in 69 enterprises of the country identified wage arrears to 2.3 thousand employees in the amount of more than 342 million tenge.

The heads of these enterprises were issued 33 mandatory orders and fined more than 4 million tenge.

As a result of the measures taken, including the establishment of strict schedules and deadlines for repayment of wage arrears, the rights of more than 1,1 thousand employees are protected. They were paid 331 million tenge.

In General, during the above period, state labour inspectors conducted 442 inspections, identified more than 866 different violations of labour legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and imposed fines in the amount of 28.3 million tenge.
