President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrives in Munich, Germany

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Munich (Germany) for a two-day working visit to participate in the 56th Munich Security Conference (MSC), press secretary of the President posted on Facebook. 

On the sidelines of the MSC, the Head of State will take part in panel discussions and hold a number of bilateral meetings with world leaders, heads of international organizations, leading German businesses and influential experts in international relations.

One of the key events of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s participation in the MSC will be the panel discussion on regional security issues entitled “Geography Matters: A Conversation on Central Asia”. The Head of State will deliver a speech and take part in the Q&A session with the audience.

About 40 heads of state and government, more than 100 heads of foreign affairs and defense ministries, and influential experts in international relations will attend the MSC.

The agenda of the Conference includes pressing issues of world development and global security. The MSC participants will discuss issues of trade wars, sanctions, the situation in the Middle East, the relationship between the European Union, the USA, Russia, China and other countries, security challenges in Europe, the future of the EU and NATO, as well as contemporary threats in cybersecurity, health, fight against fake news, etc.
