Tokayev discusses investment prospects with Michael Viefers

Kazakh President met with Michael Viefers, Member-Management Board of Rhenus AG & Co KG and General manager of Rhenus Port Logistics, Rhenus Recycling during his visit to Germany. 

Tokayev noted that the meeting with German investors is one of the main goals of this visit and noted that the country's economy is stable despite the difficulties. 

"We are interested in attracting foreign investors. During my last official visit, we spoke with Chancellor Angela Merkel and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier about investment and cooperation between two countries. We are also ready to provide opportunities for foreign investors," the Head of state said.

The President also introduced the Kazakh delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany.

Michael Viefers presented the company and told about its annual cash turnover which is about 50 billion euros.

Rhenus SE & Co. KG provides logistics services. The Company offers air and road freight transportation, short-sea shipping, returns management, warehousing, and transhipment services. Rhenus serves customers worldwide.

Rhenus Logistics has warehouses in Vilnius (Lithuania), Frankfurt (Germany), Kyiv (Ukraine), Moscow and Moscow regions (Russia).

The company is founded in 1971. The head office is located in Holzwickede. It employs 31 thousand people.

The German company is registered in our country as Rhenus Logistics LLP. It provides transportation on the territory of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries.

On January 28, 2020, foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi met with the heads of Remondis International GmbH and Rhenus Logistics. During the meeting, the company's leaders expressed their readiness to invest in the construction of a railway or automobile container terminal on the territory of Kazakhstan or in a ready project.
