School choir from India performs Abai's song

The school choir of the College "Panchsheel Balak" in India performed Abai's song "Kozimnin karasy" in the Kazakh language, MFA reports.

Kazakh Ambassador Yerlan Alimbayev told students about Abai's work and his role in national and world literature at the event.

A street in the centre of Delhi was named after the great Kazakh poet.

According to the Ambassador, it is planned to install a monument to Abai in the capital of India.

Yerlan Alimbayev thanked the students for their effort and gave them souvenirs, certificates of appreciation.

The event marked the 175th anniversary of Abai and gave start its celebrations in India.
