National centre for public health shared information on the most common diseases among the population in 2019.

The most common among registered infectious diseases in January-December 2019 were acute upper respiratory tract infections - 539,228 cases, functional diarrhea-12,382, respiratory tuberculosis-8438, chickenpox - 41841, influenza-2213, scabies-669, measles-576 and whooping cough-147.

In 2019, 12 cases of anthrax were registered (in 2018 - 2 cases).

The greatest distribution by region in terms of the number of registered diseases was revealed: functional diarrhoea (4450 cases) in the Kyzylorda region, influenza (232 cases) and other specified intestinal infections (1189 cases) in the Nur-Sultan region, respiratory tuberculosis (889 cases) and syphilis (412 cases) in the East Kazakhstan region, rotavirus enteritis (187 cases), and pediculosis (243 cases) in the Mangistau region.
