The Ministry of labor and social protection of the population launched and tested a new social services portal. A disabled resident of the capital was able to order via the portal in a test regime.

A resident of the capital Alexander Ruchkin, ordered a skin cleaner on the social services portal. He also selected the supplier, manufacturer and price. The order was delivered the next day.

"I was given a disability in May 2015. In the past, I had to go to the warehouse to get the technical rehabilitation tools I was supposed to get. I also had to wait a long time. Sometimes it takes several months. The new portal is very convenient. You don't need to go anywhere and wait for a long time," says Alexander Ruchkin.

The social services portal was developed as part of the National plan to ensure the rights and improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Today, people with disabilities can order 24 of the 55 types of rehabilitation equipment and special social services in state institutions through the portal. The remaining 31 types of services will be available by July 2020.

Overall, 492 organizations have submitted applications for the supply of goods, and 297 suppliers have been registered. 283 of them provide special social services and 14 provide special equipment.
