Kazakh-Romanian cooperation in Constanta are defined

Ambassador of Kazakhstan N. Rustemov paid a working visit to Constanta (Romania) to discuss issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation, MFA reports.

During the meeting with the President of Constanta county (region) Marius Horia Tutuianu, sides noted particular attention to the issue of establishing interregional cooperation. The meeting was held exclusively in a friendly manner, as a result of which the parties reached a number of specific agreements in the areas of development of cultural cooperation, including the issue of uncovering tourism potential between the two countries.

In framework of the meeting with the Managing Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, Industry, Transportation and Agriculture I. Danut Juganaru, the Romanian side informed in detail about the activities of the Chamber and business opportunities in Constanta (region). The parties discussed the prospects and ways of developing trade and economic relations between the two countries.

On the same day Ambassador met with the rector of Ovidius University Sorin Ruginа in the city of Constanta. During the meeting, parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of education. In turn, the Ambassador noted the important role of students in promoting and further deepening ties between our countries. In particular, was reached an agreement on holding a conference in 2020 dedicated to the 750th anniversary of the Golden Horde.

On February 28, 2020, N. Rustemov met with the Director General of the National Company “Administration of the Seaport of Constanta” Costel Stanca. The port of Constanta is the largest Black Sea port. During the meeting, the Romanian side introduced the activities and future development projects of the Port. During the meeting with the prefect of the Constanta region George-Sergiu Niculescu and the Mayor of Constanta, Decebal Făgădău, sides exchanged of views on the state and prospects of the development of bilateral relations, in particular in the cultural and humanitarian aspect. Apart from that parties paid attention to the issue of developing interregional cooperation.

It should be emphasized that in all the meetings, the Ambassador encouraged on high-tech and large Romanian companies to invest in Kazakhstan. At the same time, he informed his colleagues about the economic development of Kazakhstan and its investment opportunities. In particular, the advantages of transit and export potential were noted, providing preferential access to the regional market for more than 500 million consumers, including the markets of the EAEU, Central Asia, Western China and the Caspian sea countries, as well as special economic and industrial zones that exempt investors from various types of tax and customs duties. He emphasized the role of the international financial center "Astana", which is an important initiative to ensure the rule of law and protect the rights of investors.
