Children from low-income families receive food boxes in Kazakhstan

Social packages delivery for children from low-income families continues in Kazakhstan. Food packages have already been issued to recipients in 85 districts from 11 regions of the country. These include Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Mangistau, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan regions, Almaty and Pavlodar.

The total number of recipients is 17.6 thousand children from 9.6 thousand families. In total, it is planned to cover 64 thousand children from low-income families receiving targeted social assistance aged from 1 to 6 years.

According to the mother of 4 children, Madina Ainasheva from Karaganda region, social packages in addition to targeted social assistance is a tangible support from the state.

The box includes food and a set of household chemicals. Children aged 6 to 18 are provided with hot meals in schools, school supplies and clothing. They also have a free fare for public transport to and from school.

Set for children from 1 to 3 years have milk, cookies, porridge, cereals and baby puree. The food set for children aged 3 to 6 years consists of milk, pasta, oatmeal, sunflower oil, Hematogen, milk breakfast pads, baby cookies, pearl, buckwheat, semolina, peas and honey.

The set of household chemicals for children from 1 to 6 years includes toothpaste, brush, cream soap, soap, shampoo, powder and cream. These kits for each child from a low-income family will be provided once a quarter.
