Kazakh Ambassador to Germany visits Volkswagen AG Headquarters

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany, Dauren Karipov, has visited the headquarters of Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg and met with the automaker’s top executives the Head of International and European Policy Jens Hanefeld, the Head of Corporate Strategic Planning Gerhard Mennecke, as well as the Head of Partnerships, Industrial Cooperations and Alliances Sebastian Schebera, MFA reports.

The discussions, which served as a follow-up to the meeting between the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the leadership of Volkswagen in December 2019, centered on an exchange of views on a wide range of topics, including strategic challenges in the field of future technologies, in particular, electric mobility . 

At the conclusion of the meetings, the Kazakh Ambassador was given a tour of the main prefabrication site in Wolfsburg and the carmaker’s newest model range.
