Kazakh, Uzbek Presidents speak over phone

The heads of state discussed the situation with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and informed each other about the measures taken to combat the disease, Akorda reports.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed support for the decisive actions of his Kazakh counterpart, noting that they are timely and justified.

The presidents agreed to cooperate at the highest level and coordinate the activities of the two governments. During the conversation, a common opinion was expressed on the importance of continuing joint work to further strengthen cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian fields between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
