Government considers measures to implement instructions of the Head of State

At the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, measures to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev given at an expanded meeting of the State Commission on Ensuring the State of Emergency under the President were considered, primeminister.kz reports.

Presentations were made by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov, Chair of the National Bank Erbolat Dossaev, Chair of the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market Madina Abylkassymova, Ministers of the National Economy Ruslan Dalenov, Healthcare – Yelzhan Birtanov, Labor and Social Protection of the Population – Birzhan Nurymbetov and other heads of state bodies.

The meeting participants discussed the budgetary parameters for 2020 and measures taken in the field of public procurement, including the formation of a register of domestic producers and the introduction of a special public procurement regime, the abolition of the need to make a security deposit or a bank guarantee.

Measures are taken to stabilize the foreign exchange market, tax stimulation of business activity, suspension of payments of principal and loan interest, support for employers, especially SMEs, ensuring food security and price stability, social payments to persons who have lost income due to the state of emergency, and providing free grocery packages for socially vulnerable segments of the population, employment, as well as lower payments for utilities during the quarantine period.

Particular attention is paid to the availability of test systems, ventilators, drugs and personal protective equipment.

The prime minister noted that in the shortest possible time, the Government will clarify the forecast for the country's socio-economic development for 2020-2024 and the republican budget for 2020-2022.

The Head of Government instructed to take specific measures to effectively and efficiently implement the instructions of the Head of State.
