Government allocated money to fight coronavirus three times

Money from the Government Reserve was allocated three times to fight the coronavirus, Minister of information and social development Dauren Abayev says.

The first tranche is on January 29. 1 billion 609 million 620 thousand tenge was allocated.

On February 21, 428 million 227 thousand tenge was additionally allocated for the fight against coronavirus.

The third time funds from the Reserve were allocated by the Government on March 25. The amount is 21 billion 430 million 635 thousand tenge.

These funds were used to purchase medicines, medical devices and laboratory equipment, masks, gloves, protective suits and test systems.

It also includes expenses for the evacuation of citizens by the National emergency medicine coordination centre, equipment for border guards, purchase of disinfection products, etc.
Separately, requests were made to clarify the budget to pay bonuses to medical workers involved in the fight against coronavirus.
