143 timeviewed

According to International Air Transport Association (IATA) dated April 6 this year, the final official decision was made to change the current three-letter code of the international airport Nursultan Nazarbayev TSE to NQZ.

This change will officially come into force on June 8, 2020 and all flight booking systems, including tickets, baggage tags, information boards, will use the new airport code NQZ.

It should be noted that the Ministry has worked hard with IATA management and experts to change IATA's approach to regulating and changing three-letter airport codes around the world.

As a result of the work carried out by Kazakhstan, all countries of the world have a unique opportunity to make changes to the three-letter codes of their airports which previously were difficult to change.
