Kazakh Ambassador presented credentials to Volodymyr Zelensky

On April 15, 2020, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kaletayev presented his credentials to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, MFA says.

During the conversation, the Ambassador confirmed the interest of the top leadership of Kazakhstan in developing pragmatic cooperation with Ukraine on a wide range of issues. At the same time, he noted the close historical connection between the peoples of the two countries and the significant potential of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two states.

President V. Zelensky expressed gratitude To President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for comprehensive support in organizing the delivery of humanitarian supplies from China to Ukraine through the territory of our country to fight coronavirus. He highly appreciated the measures taken in Kazakhstan to prevent the spread of viral infection, as well as the coordinated interaction of the two countries on the prompt return of compatriots from Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

In addition, the sides discussed the implementation of a number of major investment projects in industry, engineering, agriculture, IT as well as the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport corridor.
