Kazakhstan extends state of emergency until May 11

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended state of emergency in Kazakhstan until May 11 which was supposed to end April 30. 

"Taking into account the current situation in our country and based on the proposal of the state Commission and experts, I decided to sign a Decree extending the state of emergency until May 11 this year. In accordance with the law, on May 11, the state of emergency will be completed, unless, of course, there is a new mass outbreak of the epidemic. I hope that doesn't happen," said Kazakh President on Monday.

At the same time, The state Commission for ensuring the state of emergency is ready to ease the quarantine regime, primarily in regions and cities where the situation with the spread of the virus is under control.
