Military personnel from 12 countries arrive in Russia for parade

To participate in the Victory parade on Red square, which will be held on June 24, military personnel from 12 countries arrived in Russia, RIA News reports.

According to the commander-in-chief of the Army Oleg Salyukov who will command the parade, delegations from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Moldova, Mongolia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have arrived to participate in it.

Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier decided to postpone the parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory because of the difficult epidemiological situation. Air parades and fireworks were held in Russian cities on May 9. At the end of May, the head of state announced that the Victory parade will be held on June 24.

More than 13,000 military personnel are expected to take part in the parade on Red square. 234 units of modern and historical ground-based military equipment will be involved, including the latest Terminator tank support vehicles, Coalition-SV and Msta-SM self-propelled howitzers, 90M and Armata tanks, Buk-3M, tor-M2, S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as 75 aircraft and helicopters.

Viewers will also see some elements of the historic parade on June 24, 1945. For example, the "Jubilee counter March" will be performed at the beginning. The parade band will be represented by 900 musicians.

In total, military parades throughout the country involve more than 64 thousand military personnel, 2.4 thousand units of tracked, automobile and aviation equipment, as well as 20 surface ships, submarines and support vessels.
