President holds a conference call on the fight against coronavirus

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection. The President strongly criticized the work of the Government and akims, Akorda says.

Law enforcement agencies conducted raids and checks in pharmacies that are engaged in wholesale and retail trade. According to the results of the audit, 270 persons engaged in illegal trade in medicines were brought to criminal and administrative responsibility, 116 of them are medical workers.

The head of state stressed that work in this direction will continue, and the perpetrators will be punished in accordance with the law.

In conclusion, the Head of state said that all data on coronavirus, including statistics, should be the prerogative of the Government to avoid the dissemination of false data from individuals who mislead the public.
