EQAR has been a key organization since 2005 that ensures the further development of the European Higher Education Area by increasing the transparency of quality assurance and providing information on agencies operating in European countries. June 20, 2017 by the decision of the Registration Committee, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating was included in the European register of quality assurance agencies. Entering the EQAR is the highest achievement and recognition for accreditation bodies. Today, the European Quality Assurance Register includes 44 agencies from 22 countries.

Kazakhstan became the 23rd country from 48 countries participating in the Bologna process. Obtaining the IAAR status of a recognized agency is a confirmation of compliance with its high international standards and evidence of trust.

The international seminar of IAAR and EQAR was organized on the basis of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

The main speakers at the seminar are EQAR President, Karl Dittrich, Director of Higher Education, Dutch Inspectorate for Education, Hendrik Michael (Erik) Martijnse, IAAR Director, Alina Zhumagulova and Chairman of the Expert Council of IAAR, Marina Skiba.

The main goal of the international seminar is to form a professional community for external evaluation of HEIs of Kazakhstan and to upgrade the qualifications of IAAR experts to explain the latest trends in the Bologna process.

The seminar will consider the following issues:

 • The importance and progress of the Bologna process

 • The role of EQAR in ensuring the quality of education

 • Politics and universities: problems and ways of ensuring quality

 • Approaches to the formation of the report on external quality assurance

Brazil’s version of Trump: why is it a «wake-up call» for the world?

A racist, a homophobe, a misogynist, a pro-torturer. Because of the profane outbursts and verbal abuse, he has earned such an image and was even considered as a political clown. Once he insulted lawmaker claiming that she was too ugly to be worth of raping. What is more, he said that he’d rather have a dead son than a gay one. Therefore, analysts concluded that Brazil has elected the most extremist president among democratic countries. So why did Brazil decide to make «really radical shift»? How did such an «extreme» and «unpleasant» figure become a president?
