In the framework of familiarization with the industrial development of the region, in particular the engineering industry, the Prime Minister visited Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan LLP and SemAZ LLP. Bakytzhan Sagintayev inspected the work of the car assembly plant, got acquainted with the technological process and the range of spare parts and batteries produced, the quality of assembly of vehicles at various stages of readiness.
In the structure of the gross regional product of aerospace defense, the share of industry is 31.8%. The volume of industrial production in 2017 amounted to 1,581.5 billion tenge. In 2017, the manufacturing industry increased the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers by 88.1%, pharmaceutical products — by 3.7 times, chemical products — by 16.2%, electrical equipment — by 74.8%, and other finished products — by 22, 3%. In January-August 2018 the volume of industrial production amounted to 1,187.8 billion tenge. The volume index is 108.7%.
The company specializes in the production of Daewoo urban and suburban passenger buses. At the same time, in 2018 Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan mastered the production of Gazelle NEXT cars with an all-metal body for intercity passenger traffic.
“In 2017, 136 buses were produced for 3 billion tenge. In January-August 2018, industrial products were produced at 2.3 billion tenge: 82 Daewoo buses were produced, which is 7.9% higher than in 2017,” said the General Director of SemAZ LLP and Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan LLP Asemkan Duskuzhanov.
In general, the company is focused on the production and export of competitive goods. Today the products are in demand in the domestic market and in the countries of the Customs Union and the CIS. Considering the plant’s capacity to produce 1,200 buses per year, work is underway to enter new markets.
As reported by Duskuzhanov, the company specializes in the production of Belarus tractors and trucks. In eight months, production worth 4.2 billion tenge was produced. In total, 170 Belarus tractors, 186 trucks, including 74 SHACMAN trucks, 30 Foton trucks and 82 Ural trucks were produced. In addition, the company plans to expand its product line, including through the development of a new model of trucks with a lifting capacity of 40 tons and the launch of the Gazel Business, Gazel NEXT assembly line.
