Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable to hold in Astana

On July 3 in Astana, under the chairmanship of  Kazakh PM Bakytzhan Sagintayev, the second Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2018) will be held, the press service of the Ministry for Investment and Development reports.

More than 650 managers of the world's largest companies and domestic businesses, government agencies, world politicians, experts, representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps will take part in KGIR-2018.

The main goal of the event is to present the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, discuss the policy of Kazakhstan in the field of investment, economic development and competitiveness.

To attract investments, such important areas of the economy as:

Privatization

Development of the agro-industrial sector.

Digitalization.

Power engineering.

Infrastructure and logistics.

AIFC

The program of the event includes a plenary session "Kazakhstan: towards new challenges", holding round tables on the topics:

"Creating new markets for a diversified economy"

"Logistical potential of the Eurasian region"

"Kazakhstan's energy potential - investments in a new stage of development"

"Eurasian agenda of digitalization - development of industry infrastructure 4.0".

In addition, government briefings will be organized at KGIR-2018:

"Increasing the effectiveness of the privatization program in Kazakhstan,

"Agro-industry: ensuring food security of the new Silk Road" and

"Opportunities of metallurgy and mining", 

as well as the presentation of AIFC "Astana International Financial Center - the entrance to the Eurasian financial markets".
