N.Nigmatulin received the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan

Today the Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan Saidikram Niyazhodzhayev.

The Speaker of the Mazhilis congratulated the diplomat on his assumption of office and expressed confidence in further strengthening of Kazakh-Uzbek relations, including at the inter-parliamentary level.

Today, an intensive political dialogue has been established, and multifaceted cooperation is effectively developing due to the joint work based on mutual understanding of two states leaders as N.Nigmatulin emphasized.

 According to the Chairman of the Mazhilis, a solid foundation for further comprehensive cooperation was laid by the visits of the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held last year, which resulted in the signing of the Joint Declaration on further deepening of the strategic partnership and strengthening of good-neighborliness.

In turn, S. Niyazhodzhayev noted the dynamics of Kazakh-Uzbek relations, which recently, according to the diplomat, have risen to the new level of strategic partnership. The open relations of two states leaders allowed the people of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to get even closer as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan emphasized.

 During the meeting, issues of regional and border cooperation, cultural and humanitarian cooperation were also discussed. The interlocutors also stressed the need to strengthen the economic potential of Central Asia.

 N.Nigmatulin and S.Niyazhodzhayev also stressed the importance of development of Kazakh-Uzbek inter-parliamentary relations, including within the IPA CIS, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries, the Inter-Parliamentary Union. According to the interlocutors, the joint constructive work of parliamentarians will contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership, friendship and good-neighborliness between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
