Under the state program «Nurly Zhol» 2400 kilometers of roads were built and reconstructed

In the area of the road sector of the state program of infrastructural development «Nurly Zhol», construction and reconstruction of 7 thousand kilometers is to cover, and 10 thousand kilometers of republican roads were repaired. The Minister for Investment and Development Zhenis Kasymbek spoke about the implementation of the state program at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

«At the expense of the allocated funds, 2.4 thousand km were built and reconstructed, 7.5 thousand km of roads of republican significance were repaired. The international transit corridor Western Europe - Western China, the Astana-Temirtau, Almaty-Kapshagai, Kokshetau-Petropavlovsk sections are fully completed, a bridge over the Irtysh River in the Pavlodar region, which is currently the largest bridge in Central Asia, was built», noted Zhenis Kasymbek.

Over 100 thousand jobs were created at all sites, the share of domestically produced materials was about 95%. This year, the reconstruction covered 4.6 thousand km of roads of republican significance. Work continued on 22 projects.

«The Astana-Temirtau section was completed along the Center-South corridor, next year the Temirtau-Karaganda section and the Karaganda bypass will be completed. Since this year, work has begun on the Karaganda-Balkhash-Burylbaital-Kurty sections (888 km), and from 2019 we will begin the Kurty-Kapshagai section (67 km). Work on the Kandyagash-Makat section (299 km) is being carried out along the Center-West corridor; work on 120 km has begun this year in the Atyrau-Astrakhan and Kandyagash-Aktobe sections at the expense of the Republic of Belarus; . Work is also underway on the Kostanai-Denisovka site (114 km). We will complete the corridor completely in 2020», the Minister told about the work being done.

In general, the completion of all initiated projects is planned in 2019-2020.

At the end of this year, it is planned to open a movement of 528 km. highways. Fully completed work on projects Uralsk-Kamenka - 73 km, bypass of Kordai - 40 km, Beineu-Aktau - 60 km and Balpykbi-Taldykorgan and Sarkand bypass - 40 km.

In January 2019, sections of the Almaty-Kapshagai, Almaty-Khorgos and Astana-Temirtau highways are planned to be paid.

«For the development of toll roads, I would like to note that in October of this year, the Toll Collection Systems were put into test operation in the Almaty-Kapshagai, Almaty-Khorgos and Astana-Temirtau sections, which are currently integrated with the MVD systems. Collection fees are scheduled to begin in the second half of January next year. In addition, the development of the design and estimate documentation for the construction of a charging system for 5.9 thousand km, including the international corridor «Western Europe-Western China», is underway. Installation of toll collection systems is planned for next year», said Zhenis Kasymbek.

In general, in 2020 about 6.6 thousand km will be covered by the charging system.
