Distance learning to continue in Kazakhstan from September 1

In the 2020-2021 academic year, due to the current epidemiological conditions, it is planned to start distance training for grades 1-11 in all schools of the country, with the exception of remote rural small schools and "duty" primary school classes in strict observance of all sanitary standards. This year more than 3.3 million people will study in 7,391 schools in Kazakhstan, including in the 1st grade – more than 396 thousand children. Prime Minister Askar Mamin instructed to finalize the entire training methodology and by Aug. 20, 2020, organize a republican parent meeting online with detailed information about the upcoming educational process.

KazNU successfully advancing in QS

According to the results of the «QS World University Ranking by Subject 2019» Al-Farabi KazNU became the first among the Universities of the CIS countries to enter the top 51-100 HEI's in the world in the specialty of Modern Linguistics, climbing 50 positions. In total, six majors of the leading Kazakhstani University have been listed in this ranking, reports the press service of the university.

Year of Youth will allow younger generation to expand boundaries of their knowledge and skills — a student

Jan. 23 at the opening ceremony of the Year of Youth the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed to create a Youth Startups Support Fund. The decision was supported by youth representatives. A 12th grade student of Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Almaty Ivan Krepak says that creating a special Startup Support Fund is a great motivation for young people to work for the well-being of the country, create startups, learn and share knowledge.
